day 19 **what do you think of religion? or what do you think of politics**
i don't have any strong views on either. because when i do i find myself becoming righteous or annoyed and having opinions about issues that invariably, and through choice, i know very little about.
i have not studied in depth any religious or political books, texts, or any other forms of literature. i have read some, but have not studied.
i choose not a member of any church, religious society or political party.
to be completely honest i really don't know much about politics. i know enough to get me by and the more the heat is on a politician, the more i know about them at that time. but as soon as the heat is off and they are out of the limelight, they are out of my mind.
and the other? i am blessed to have deep faith and trust that there is a power out there that is far greater than any human power..and that's all i need to know..religion is for those who don't want to go to hell, and spirituality is for those of us who been there and don't want to go back..

organized religion is not faith. Organized religion is politics.
ReplyDeleteTrue. Hadn't thought of that. In that light I guess once anything is "organized" by humans you automatically introduce politics on some level…
ReplyDeleteOn politics, I agree. Basically these are a bunch of people we have "chosen" to regulate our lives. Most, I have no idea who they are.
ReplyDeleteOn religion, I am a practicing Christian and proud to proclaim it. I too, however, have not "studied" the Bible, and therefore, do not claim to be an expert on the matter. I do not consider myself holier than thou. I am not one to judge for I have my own faults. I simply try to learn from them. I also try to live by the golden rule, and hopefully by doing so will contribute some good to this society as exampled in Jesus' life.
I choose to attend church for two reasons:
First to praise God for I have been blessed beyond belief. We all have. Yes I believe in God mainly because there are too many times in my life that cannot be explained any other way. I don't believe in fate. I feel everything has a reason. We just may not be able to see it right away or ever.
Second to surround myself with others who have the same general beliefs I have and values I hold dear. Sure every church has it's issues, but that's because there is man involved. But being around my church family allows me to be in a large "support" group that I can't get any other day of the week. It fills me.
too maney people were like you and finally they found the right way the way of Islam where the religious Instructions are identical with the facts of science you can ....... if you search at google about the most rapidly growing religious in the world you will fined it is "ISLAM" which many people fined them selves in
